At Appreciate Volunteers, the motto is: use every excuse in the book to show volunteer appreciation and recognition. So that’s exactly what we are doing, but using simple ideas doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, we have plenty of great ideas for simple and inexpensive ways to show your volunteers how much they are appreciated.

During the month of June we are making use of Wacky Holidays for some fun volunteer recognition ideas. We’re presenting the wacky holidays in July so that you get ahead of the game and have time to plan. Even the simple things can take a bit of planning, so think about what holidays you might like to use.

July is National Blueberry Month. You can easily do something like bringing blueberry muffins in to your work place for your volunteers. There are other fun food holidays like Gummi Worm Day on July 15th. I’ll bet you can figure out something to do for that day which won’t cost you much!

Visit Appreciate Volunteers for more fun ideas and see our articles about Wacky Holidays for more days and simple ideas to celebrate what our volunteers give to us.
